Hear From Us, Not About Us: (Re)connection for refugee and ethnic-migrant background researchers
Following our launch of the powerful collection, “Hear from us, not about us: The power of refugee-background research‘ in 2021 Community Research is committed to growing this amazing collection. As a part of that commitment we are hosting a second online informal networking hui for 2023 for researchers and evaluators from refugee-background and ethnic-migrant communities.
The Tautoko sessions are informal hui designed to foster connections among community researchers like you who are passionate about promoting collective action and conducting research by and for migrant and former refugee communities. Your experiences, ideas, and perspectives are essential to our mission, and we can’t wait to work together to continue to make a positive impact. We invite you to join us online to connect with each other and support this mahi.
At this online hui, you will be invited to share how research data collection from diverse communities needs to change in your community. Let’s help create collective action for research by and for refugee and migrant communities in Aotearoa.
If you have any questions or specific topics you’d like to discuss during the session, please feel free to reach out to us in advance – research@communityresearch.org.nz
