Sebastian J. Lowe (Tangata Tiriti) is an anthropologist, interdisciplinary artist, and educator from Aotearoa New Zealand. Born in Kirikiriroa Hamilton and having spent time overseas, his work moves across places, disciplines, and ways of knowing. His interests include sound worlds, co-creative research methods, ethics, and community-led inquiry. Grounded in collaborative work in Whanganui and guided by the ethos of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, his doctoral research explores taonga pūoro as a relational practice of listening, improvisation, and shared responsibility.
