I'm from the trade union movement in Aotearoa, and have worked as National Secretary of the Council of Trade Unions Te Kauae Kaimahi and in campaigns and research roles for several unions across the private and public sectors. My research interests relate to the place of workers in climate change, specifically achieving a just transition for workers affected by change. Outside of research, I have had twenty years of not-for-profit involvement across unions, the community sector, campaigning organisations and students’ associations including as National Convenor of Campaign for MMP, Co-President of NZUSA and as a part-time lecturer on Unitec’s Graduate Diploma in Not-For-Profit Management, and in crown entity and not-for-profit governance.
