Dr. Nelly Martin-Anatias is a socio-anthropological linguist and discourse analyst currently teaching at Massey University College, Massey University, in Aotearoa, New Zealand. Her research focuses on language, identity, gender, and ideology, employing textual and interpretive analysis. She leads projects aimed at addressing barriers to fertility care for Asian and Muslim communities. Her scholarly work has been published in journals such as World Englishes, South East Asia Research, Humanity & Society,, Language@Internet, and Text & Talk. Additionally, she has edited volumes for Oxford University Press and Routledge, and her opinion pieces have appeared in various media.
