Nadia’s background is in health and environmental sciences and she completed her doctoral studies at the University of Waterloo in Canada in 2014.
She primarily teaches at the postgraduate level in research design and methods (HEAL811) and global health (PUBH805).
Nadia has research expertise in the areas of migrant and refugee health, maternal and child health, immunisations, vaccine-preventable diseases, infectious disease prevention and control, community engagement, innovation and health care delivery.
Nadia is a Co-Director of AUT’s Migrant and Refugee Health Research Centre (MRHRC).
