Researcher

Kirti Sangwan

I am a community based researcher with a PhD in human geography and migration studies from Victoria University of Wellington. My research focused on lived experiences of North Indian immigrant women living in Aotearoa, with a strong emphasis on their sexual and reproductive health decision-making. I bring deep insight into immigrants' realities and experiences through both academic research and personal lived experiences.
I am passionate about inclusive research practices that empower immigrant women and amplify the underrepresented voices. My goal is to contribute the meaningful, evidence based change through collaborative research that centres places, people, and their stories.
