Kia ora o te whānau,
I started out in Africa over 20 years ago supporting various tribes there conduct their own research in health and wellbeing. I wiggled my way into the United Nations and continued in the same kaupapa for another 10 years, in food security, international humanitarian and community-led response. For the last 10 years I've been working in Aotearoa, and with the support of the Māori community and colleagues, doing social services commissioning and research and evaluation, both for the Iwi and the Crown. My passion is to support community to tell their story, their success, explore the lessons and acknowledge the incredible mahi being done – exploiting data both qualitative and quantitative.
