I am currently lecturing at UCOL in a social services degree programme in the Manawatu (Palmerston North). I’m using Photovoice principles and methods with students and community groups they work with.
My current research area is the history of community mental health and tertiary education. I’ve taught civics at the tertiary education level and my early professional background was in community mental health as an occupational therapist and case manager.
I’ve a certificate in digital photography, postgraduate art history qualifications and a PhD (NZ history). I’ve also exhibited my own photography in the past.
