Dr Imran Muhammad is a Professor of urban and environmental planning at Massey University. His research expertise includes low-carbon transport planning, inclusive and just cities, and immigrants' role in making NZ cities sustainable. He has published research on the experience of Chinese, Indian, and Middle Eastern communities with public transport in Auckland and is currently supervising a postgraduate dissertation on South American women's transport needs in Auckland. Imran Muhammad has a breadth of experience in NZ and Australian universities, local/central government, multi-disciplinary consultancies, and community organisations.
