Kia ora, ko Deane-Rose Ngatai-Tua ahau. I am an urban Māori researcher, practitioner, and storyteller based in Tāmaki Makaurau, with whakapapa to Ngāti Porou and Waikato-Tainui. My work is grounded in kaupapa Māori, community development, and lived experience. I have worked alongside whānau, communities, community organisations, and government agencies to understand lived experiences, strengthen relationships, and support community-led change. My interests include urban Māori identities and experiences, whānau voice, wellbeing, leadership, storytelling, and systems change. I believe people are experts in their own lives and that research should create value for the communities it serves.
