Researcher

Christine Wilson

I have worked as a lead researcher and evaluator in the disability sector for SAMS (Standards and Monitoring Services) between 1996 and 2022. In that time my focus has been the rights and welfare of disabled people and their families and whānau. The core of my work has always been developing and maintaining partnerships with key stakeholders, and since the introduction of Enabling Good Lives (EGL) principles, I have been interested in keeping people informed and involved in any work concerning them. Lately I have begun working independently through my own company “Whakanaui: Elevate Learn Transform”. Whakanui offers to work collaboratively with other research organisations/groups and independently in partnership with disabled people.
