The Futures 2024/2025 report highlights key challenges, strengths and future opportunities for Māori in the Te Ao Matihiko – the digital and technology space.
A wānanga series was launched in 2024 and extended through 2025, aiming to engage, explore and determine our future direction as Māori in DigiTech. By coming together across generations and platforms,
we critically examined the opportunities and challenges of the digital age; assessing where we stand today and envisioning the futures we want to shape.
The voices of our rangatahi were at the centre of this kōrero, guiding the whakaaro of Māori DigiTech leaders and ensuring that future strategies reflect the aspirations of those who will inherit them. At our final rangatahi wānanga for 2025, we asked tauira to write messages to their mokopuna, outlining their commitment to the kaupapa and the legacy they aim to build.
