Pania is a founding leader of Community Research. She has a background in social, health and education, with a Masters in Social Welfare and Community Development through the University of Otago. She has a range of interests including research/evaluation, communities and addressing the causes of inequities. Building on over 20 years’ experience in the health arena, she strives to improve, promote and protect the health and well-being of the people that she serves.
Pania is a trustee of Te Rūnanga o Awarua and working as a consultant in the areas of Māori health, policy and research. Pania has extensive experience in management and governance positions with a strong interest in community development.
Born and raised in Bluff, Pania has over 20 years’ work experience at all levels of the health system. Pania is well-versed in best practices and addressing health inequities. Pania’s passion lies in advancing Māori health outcomes and driving positive change.
