Ko Madi āhau.
Madi is our Digital Content and Communications Coordinator, alongside her studies as a Masters student in Indigenous Studies, where her research focuses on the relationships between takatāpui, data sovereignty, and social media.
She is particularly interested in how media shapes, defines, intermediates, normalises and influences individual identities and the fabric of our collective society. She is also interested in takatāpui and indigenous research, as well as cultural and historical research.
Beyond mahi, Madi is a storyteller, a creative, and a pursuer of positive social and political change for communities and the taiao. She enjoys writing and art-making, but mostly being in the kūkūwai, ngahere and moana.
