The below events are coming up with Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga
Professor Arturo Arias is a well-known expert on Central American literature, with a special emphasis on indigenous literature. He will lead a hui on “Decolonisation, Research and Indigenous Peoples Today” with Professor Linda Tuhiwai Smith on Monday, March 11th for researchers. Professor Arias will also give a public lecture on Tuesday March 12th, about the Maya calendar and wider indigenous issues, entitled “Oxlajuj B’aqtun: Not the End but a New Beginning for Maya, Indigenous Peoples and the Earth”. For more details, click here.
And finally on Thursday 14th March, there is a conversation between Professor Charles Royal and Professor Arias on “Truth and Narrative”.
