This three day program is a popular course that provides an in depth understanding of how to develop a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation (M&E) plan. Participants will develop a solid understanding of the theory and practice of M&E by working with a real case study.
Monitoring and Evaluation is an intrinsic part of the program cycle. In order to improve the work that we do, we need to understand whether our program is achieving its intended results, and if not, we need to modify our actions. Monitoring and evaluation helps us assess whether we are on track, while providing information to help us steer our efforts and the program towards a desired direction. Of course, monitoring and evaluation also has a role outside the program cycle, and that concerns communicating the results to others.
