The overall aim of these Awards is to support Māori Leadership in the Mental Health and Addictions sectors by recognising excellence, innovation and best practice.
Two awards are offered
BOB HENARE AWARD
This Award is in honour of Bob Henare and his contribution to Māori leadership in the mental health sector. Recognising and endorsing professional achievements and high levels of excellence within rangatahi Māori (under 25 years) in Māori mental health and encouraging the development of innovative approaches to achieving best outcomes for tangata whaiora and whānau.
Up to two awards to the value of $5,000 each will be made in 2013
Applications for the Bob Henare Award are by nomination only.
HARRY PITMAN AWARD
This Award is in honour of Harry Pitman and his many contributions to Māori leadership in the addiction sectors.
Recognising and endorsing professional achievements and high levels of Māori excellence in addiction services and encouraging the development of innovative approaches to achieving best outcomes for consumers and whānau.
Up to two awards to the value of $5,000 each will be made in 2013.
Applications for the Harry Pittman Award are by nomination only.
