This is the final report on the Making Ethnic Count pilot, a co-design and trial of effective data collection with four pilot organisations run by Shama Ethnic Women’s Trust. In Aotearoa New Zealand there are significant research gaps in understanding the context, dynamics, and prevalence of sexual violence within ethnic communities, and this pilot involved cultural safety training for specialist sexual violence agencies and the testing of a database to assist them to effectively collect data.
