Swakshadip is currently doing their PhD at the Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington working on policy issues that affect transgender asylum seekers in the UK and Aotearoa. They also work with several think tanks and are the Secretary of Kontho, an organisation that works for the marginalised sections of the society. Their research interests include queer studies, migration, human rights, intersectional transfeminism, diversity and inclusion, law and gender.
