Our Allies Network

Our Allies Network is a space to take an active, positive role in supporting community-led research and knowledge-making. As an ally you help drive systemic change, whether you work in local or central government, educational institutions, community organisations, or other sectors.

We invite you to be part of this evolving journey, working together to ensure inclusive, meaningful progress, sharing useful tools and resources amongst your networks and communities.

Our Research Network

We celebrate all forms of community-led knowledge-making, whether it’s community-based mahi and mātauranga, or based within organisations, the public service, or academia. If you’re a researcher who champions, has interest in, or develops ‘by community for community’ learnings in Aotearoa, we value your thoughts and contributions and invite you to be part of our research network.

Our private Researcher Network connects you with other like-minded researchers in Aotearoa. We offer various opportunities to engage, including ‘All Researcher’ sessions, ‘Ethnic, Migrant and Former Refugee’ groups, and other targeted Tautoko sessions, as well as online networking channels. You will receive our Panui emails to let you know about specific activities we are hosting that may relate to your interests.

Researcher Directory

Our public Researcher Directory is a unique opportunity for researchers in our network to showcase their interests, skills, and expertise to the wider community. The tangata whenua, community, and voluntary sectors in Aotearoa comprise thousands of groups, many of whom may benefit from connecting with researchers like you. Whether you’re based in Aotearoa or your work involves indigenous methodologies, you can create a public profile in our directory to make your research more accessible to those seeking to drive positive change. The option to create a public profile will appear towards the end of the registration form below.
